These rules govern visits to and stays at the former military site “Bunkrowy Las” within the Jeziory Wysokie cadastral area, Brody municipality.
The Rokita Foundation performs the site manager's duties within the powers entrusted to it. Visitors must comply with these rules, signs and instructions given by authorised persons.
§ 2. Hours and access
Visits take place during daylight hours: April–September, 08:00–20:00; October–March, 08:00–16:00.
Visits are prohibited when fire danger is at level II or III. The site manager or authorised services may also close routes due to weather, safety work or other hazards.
Information on restrictions may be published on the Foundation's website and in the app. Prohibition signs placed on the site are binding.
§ 3. Routes and movement
Tourism is permitted only on concrete and bituminous roads serving as circulation routes, and on trails clearly marked out by guides and opened to visitors.
Leaving routes, crossing barriers and entering bunkers, underground structures, ruins and closed areas are prohibited. Modes of travel other than walking are permitted only where allowed by law and signage.
§ 4. Individual and group visits
Individual visits require a valid ticket and must take place on routes open to visitors. Tours may include no more than 30 people; an authorised leader and advance notification under the resolution are required.
Persons organising, guiding, supervising and inspecting tours must display a guide's card or identification badge. Accompanying adults must supervise children; events must be agreed with the authorised entity.
§ 5. Tickets and Karnet72
A single-use permit costs PLN 30 (standard ticket) or PLN 15 (concessionary ticket). Concessions apply in accordance with the resolution, including for eligible school pupils, students, persons over 60 and persons with disabilities; proof of eligibility is required.
The system may also offer other categories specified in the resolution, including the Large Family Card (Karta Dużej Rodziny), Foundation events and guided visits. Payment, refund and complaint procedures are set out in the sales terms and conditions.
Karnet72 is intended for customers of GOTCHASPIELFELD.PL Sp. z o.o. and customers of GOTCHASPIELFELD.PL during larger events. The pass is valid for 72 hours and allows movement around the area made available to the Rokita Foundation, only along open routes, during designated hours and in accordance with these rules. It does not authorise entry into structures or closed areas.
Proof of purchase of Karnet72 is a wristband issued to the participant by the event organiser. Proof of validity of other tickets is the active “Szlakiem Bunkrowego Lasu” app containing a valid ticket, or a printed ticket with a QR code. Proof of entitlement must be shown at the request of an authorised person.
§ 6. The “Szlakiem Bunkrowego Lasu” app
The app helps visitors explore safely by providing a route map, GPS-based orientation, historical points and descriptions, information on visitor rules and access to tickets (including the “Moje bilety” / “My tickets” tab), depending on the functions currently available.
The “Zgłoś zagrożenie” (“Report a hazard”) function is used to inform the Foundation about dangerous places, such as fallen trees, subsidence, damaged signs or suspicious objects. The reporting person should give the location and describe the hazard as accurately as possible without approaching it.
The app may provide route and point data offline, as well as information in Polish, German and English, to the extent supported by the functions available on the device. The map and GPS do not replace on-site signage.
In the event of an immediate threat to life, a fire or the discovery of unexploded ordnance, call 112 immediately. An in-app report is not a call to the emergency services and does not guarantee immediate intervention.
§ 7. Animals
Animals are permitted. Dogs must be kept on a lead, subject to exceptions provided by law; other animals must remain under their handler's effective supervision.
The handler is responsible for the animal, the safety of others, removal of animal waste and compliance with the ban on leaving the routes.
§ 8. Safety
The former military site may contain subsidence, holes, unstable structures, sharp objects and unexploded ordnance. Do not touch, dig up or move suspicious objects.
In the event of danger, leave the affected area by a safe route, call the emergency services on 112 and, where possible, inform the Foundation. Visits must be stopped during thunderstorms, strong winds or when instructed by authorised persons.
§ 9. Prohibitions and protection of the site
Damaging structures, vegetation and signs; littering; removing finds; digging; lighting fires without permission; and using pyrotechnic materials are prohibited.
Aggressive or dangerous behaviour and remaining on site under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating substances are prohibited. Commercial activities, research and the organisation of events require the appropriate arrangements or approvals.
§ 10. Final provisions
A breach of these rules may result in an instruction to leave the site, within the powers of the persons carrying out checks. Liability for damage is governed by law.
These rules must be applied with regard to the resolutions of the Brody Town Council currently in force and other applicable legal provisions.
