DSC Forst „Wald”

Origins of the works

From the 1938 surveys to the commissioning of two plant sections.

Context

Site and water surveys began in 1938 and major construction followed in 1939. The two main plant sections were commissioned in stages during 1941 and 1942. A plant card dated 18 August 1941 records a site area of 3,364,000 m². The complex had its own wells, workshops, utilities, roads and internal railways.

Key findings

The page separates securely documented facts from reconstruction. Comparative data from other DSC plants is used only when explicitly labelled as analogy.

How to read the evidence

Direct Forst records take priority. Report 133 is direct evidence for corporate structure, while its detailed technical inventory concerns Kraiburg.

Open questions

Further archival finds may refine dates, quantities and machine identifications. Uncertain points remain visibly marked.

Sources and state of research

The presentation distinguishes direct evidence, reconstruction and analogy. Old GEOS scans are not used as decorative illustrations.
